Four artworks in two shows

I’m honored that four of my pieces—two collagraph prints and two collages—were accepted into concurrent Maryland exhibitions running now through January.

Mitosis Variants and Cytoskeleton Lattice, both collagraph prints, are featured in Where Energy Meets Matter show in Frederick. Mitosis Variants is on view at the YAAC Building at 115 E Church St., while Cytoskeleton Lattice is exhibited for staff at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. The organizers have also published an excellent online catalog for the show, which runs through January 20, 2026.

Two of my recent collages appear in the Ekphrastic Fantastic show at the New Deal Cafe in Greenbelt. According to the Poetry Foundation, “an ekphrastic poem is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art… amplifying and expanding its meaning.” In this show, Annapolis poet Hiram Larew wrote a poem “Leaning Whispers” in response to my collage Remembering, and I created a print inspired by another poet’s Dandelion Promises. This exhibition runs through January 4, 2026.
